According to the notice, the clearance of consolidated goods to Kenya has been temporarily suspended due to the implementation of revised import duty charges. Industry stakeholders are currently in negotiations with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regarding the new import duty structure.
SABBTCo is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as clearance operations resume. Customers with goods awaiting clearance, as well as cargo currently in transit, are kindly requested to remain patient and allow time for the ongoing discussions and regulatory process.
