SABBTCo notice about proposed KRA import duty change for consolidated cargo entering Kenya

SABBTCo would like to inform all valued clients and business partners about a proposed Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) import duty directive that may affect the clearance of consolidated cargo entering Kenya.

According to the notice, the current duty for consolidated goods is KSh 2.5 million, while the proposed duty is KSh 3.5 million. The proposed change is subject to regulatory approval and implementation.

During this consultation period, customers importing consolidated goods into Kenya may experience temporary delays in customs clearance as KRA and other stakeholders finalize the new framework.
